Tight hips are often a contributing factor in lower back pain, and a lack of mobility in the hips can put stress the knees. It’s important to maintain a good range of motion. This is a mellow practice, designed to increase flexibility in the hips and lower back. We start quietly on our backs, with circular movements to loosen up the lower back, and warm up the hip sockets. We continue with some floor stretches, then standing poses, and go back to the floor for a sweet twist and double pigeon (with modifications). If you hike, bike, run or do sports, you probably need this class.
